We are committed to maintaining the privacy, trust, and integrity of all children, families, and staff members. All employees are expected to always uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professional conduct.
Confidentiality Requirements
- No information regarding children, families, staff, or center operations may be shared, verbally, in writing, or electronically, inside or outside the facility, unless required as part of your professional duties and authorized by the Manager or Licensee.
- This includes the sharing of photos or videos taken using any device (e.g., camera, phone, tablet). Photos must not be shared on personal devices or platforms.
Media and Social Media
- Staff are strictly prohibited from speaking to the media or posting any content about the center, families, children, or coworkers on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok).
- Breach of this policy will be considered serious misconduct.
Professional Communication with Clients
- All email communication with families must be CC’d to the Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Staff are not permitted to text or call clients using personal cell phones.
All communication must go through the facility’s phone line or official email.
Gossiping and Workplace Conduct
- Making assumptions or negative comments about families, children, staff, or management is considered gossiping and/or bullying.
- Gossip and bullying create a toxic work environment and will be addressed at the discretion of the Manager and Licensee.
- Depending on the severity, disciplinary action will be taken according to the Staff Dismissal Policy and Procedure, including the possibility of immediate termination.
This policy is in place to protect the dignity, safety, and privacy of all members of our community. Staff are expected to lead by example and contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
